5SFE 2.2 16v Bolt in cam profile increases overall performance. Hard weld your stock cams.

Cost per set.
.322 244° 218° 294 - - 45-181 $525

5SFE 2.2 16v Designed to increase mid and upper end power. Recommend to use with high compression pistons, programmable fuel injection and performance exhaust. Hard weld your stock cams.

Cost per set. Must check all clearances.
.350 250° 228° 101 - - 45-191
$525

I dont know which would be better. Figure the second one is more aggresive. I'm planning on doing a aggressive head job. Custom headers, 2.5 down to my greddy cat-back. Will get the Greddy E-manage unit to play w/ fuel injection.

Kwanza where you at? Any knowledgeable advice welcomed. Thanks

This set is good for street and will probably cause a loopy idle. it's not overly agressive, and can be used successfully on stock compression with a piggyback. Will flatten low-end and midrange slightly, but high-end response should increase.

This set is more agressive and should still work for street use... Its power-range may be a little higher because of big lift and will probably work best with higher compression. You'll probably also want to upgrade valvesprings and do a shimless bucket conversion or something. Should still work with stock compression and a piggyback, but will flatten delivery in the low-midrange. Best with a more complete build-up with high compression pistons, upgraded valve springs or lighter weight valves, and a standalone so you can increase the redline for best out-put...

Ferra or something of that name can make valves and springs for the 5sfe. Their are as much as the cams are tho. Honestly, Ive really looked into how far the 5sfe head can be taken and high flow just doesn't seem to want to be an option. Before you start the build up try and email Jim snoodgrass over at MR2OC. He was one of the first to build a 5sfe head and finaly droped it for a 3sgte head. If you do stick with the 5s ITZITS on MR2OC can custom make you a longer runner intake manifold with larger TB for a price.

The 5sfe is a mule when it comes to giving up any performance gains but I think there are a few doors still waiting to be opened.

Good luck and take pics.
