I have never really been in a relationship where the guy is buying me stuff all the time (besides them paying for dinner/movies etc) Like this past April was the first time in my life any guy has ever sent me flowers Lol....took 22 years but I finaly got flowers w00t!!

Anyway this one friend of mine just got out of a 2 year relationship, so now he is focusing all his attention on me (or trying to) & wants to do everything w/ me like....fly to Florida & fly to New york & buy me this & buy me that! He warned me he likes to spoil his women...& as much fun it would be to let him do all these things for me...IM JUST NOT INTO HIM!! I dont like him like that & Im not the type of person to use someone just to get something.

I wondered if any of you are like that (or would admit to being like that hahah)

I hate the idea of a girl paying for me. I guess i'm old fashioned. You will definately hurt my ego if you pay for me....if it comes down to me not having money, I will return the favor no matter what.

I'm with Latin. If you can't afford to pay for the dates, then you shouldn't be dating. I'm old fashioned too.

I try to spoil as much as possible. As much as I can afford. I got the woman some cool stuf for Christmas. I think she'll like it. Although sometimes it does get hard to spoil when you're in the middle of trying to do some car projects too. Sigh. Two big demands on my wallet. And both so worthy...

Ditto. I would have been done with my car, if I wasnt spending money on my GF. Money well spent though.

I'm old fashion when it comes to girls. I have not been on any "real dates" or something I would call a "date" but when it comes to girls, its not so much spoiling them, as it is treating them right, and showing your affection and appretiation. I would not consider buying cute little stuffed animals, flowers or chocolate as spoiling, just a nice gesture and/or flattering them.

hmm I like buying things but it really depends on the girls income. My first girlfriend had money so we split things evenly where as my second had squat so I paid for most stuff (even if she offered). Honestly I do not care I am out to have a good time so money isn't an issue.

Edit
Scooby sorry to say but girl comes before celica unless you have takin care loving to a whole new level wink.gif

I have never recieved flowers from anyone. I have never recieved a sweet / romantic / nice gift from any of my boyfriends (except 1.. let's not go there). I have NEVER been spoiled by any of my boyfriends.

I am usually the one who does the spoiling. I buy them nice presents. I take them out to nice restaurants.

I have never once had a boyfriend who was romantic and sweet.. sigh. frown.gif

I'm old fashioned, but I met the girl of my dreams and we're settling down together. Working out things financially and we're mixing everything.. so.. I guess we both treat each other?

Funny you guys brought this up...

My girl and I were chillin' at my house on Saturday and we wanted to get some dinner. But I only had eight dollars. So I told her if she wants to go to McDonalds or something that was fine, but I can't afford to go to a restaurant. So she tells me she will buy dinner and that if I even tried to pay her for part of it, she would slap me (she was half joking half serious, ya know what I mean? She just really wanted to buy dinner for some reason) Well, I was alright with it, but she didn't tell me where we were going (she was also driving because my celi is a "little under the weather" with a leaky cam seal). She freaking takes me to Red Lobster! I couldn't believe it because I wasn't expecting to go to anywhere that expensive.

Anyways, dinner goes well. We had a great time and she ended up paying something like $53.00 including the tip. On Monday, I was able to get to the bank and cash my paycheck.. So when I saw her Monday night, I secretly slipped $50.00 into her coat pocket.

Then later that night when she dug into her pockets to get her mittens, out fell the $50.00. She was like "Woo hoo!! I'm rich! Can you believe this??? I found fifff-- wait a minute...Is this from Red Lobster?!?!?"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It was hilarious.

Needless to say, I got slapped biggrin.gif

Hahah, thats a funny story. Sounds like she really likes you (or atleast feels in debt, lol jk.)

I pay lots of the time for my girlfriend for food, movies, concerts, etc., but sometimes I don't. She is fine though with paying for stuff. I don't really randomly buy gifts either.
