Anyway guys, listen to this crap.
I stopped in front of a store to drop off my fiance, i had to go around the block to turn around to pick her up after she got the goods from inside (bottle of coke). So this was a fast stop. On the way to the end of the block i see the police car sitting there watching ???? I am thinking he was just checking out my car "thats cool" so i get back to the store to pick up the fiance. I stop on the side of the street for like 5 seconds cause she was already waiting on the sidewalk. Here is where it gets interesting. Some jerk on the other side of the road sees my car and wants to show off... so he does a burn out! Then he makes a u-turn in the middle of the street to get behind me and rev his engine. (The car was a Grand am GTP) So i pull out and go up to the red light, the guy behind me is revving he car and being a pain trying to get me to race. Now remember i already knew there was a cop back one block behind where the store was so i was not about to blow this guy away. Anyway, the light turns green i go straight up the hill....the GTP turn right and does another burn out. Check this out, about 20 seconds up the road i see lights flashing behind me. I am like .. What did i do? So i pulled over to see what the prob is! Cop gets up to my window and says the usual ... and i say hold up what is this for anyway? He says well.... you were revving your engine and did 2 burnouts and broke trackion from the street. I flipped out!!!!!!!! I snapped!!!! This guy was so busy watching my car he said he never saw any other GTP do the things he said that i did. But he does recall another car do a u-turn in the middle of the street! What the heck? So i am yelling at the cop...(not recomended) and people are coming out of their houses to see what the deal is. The cop at this time can tell by how pissed off i am that he must have missed the other car and was pulling over the wrong car.....Cause it looks so fast and mean biggrin.gif . So to cut to the end cause this is getting kinda long....he smells my tires and checks my car for hight issues and tint. he finds no problems! Thats right, you got nothing on me you stupid cop! I told him i saw him at the corner of the block so why would i be dumb and do something like that for? So he comes back and has the balls to tell me that he doubts he was wrong and i need to shut my mouth!!! He then says that he can tell by my attitude he will run in to me again so he will just let me go for now. Like he was doing me a favor????
What a crock of S%$t !!!!!
And he never appoliged for being mistaken!
What an A hole!!!

What do you guys think of that? I got harassed big time for no reason!!!!!

Call the station and talk to the guys super- even tho you didn't get a ticket say you want him to be aware of the idiot behavior of one of his officers.

i got harrassed all the time by cops. took 2 to court for tickets for stupid stuff. i called the station a couple times to complain about the officers.
My dad even cornered one at a shop one day and bitched him out in front of everyone.

Something similar happened to me once. I was pulling off an offramp and this Eclipse screams past me, ok great I pull out and within 2 seconds theres a state trooper and a local cop on my ass. So I pull over and he's like "Didnt you see my behind you!!?" and im assuming the Eclipse is the one he's after and maybe evading him so Im like no I just pulled onto this road, I think you looking for the green Eclipse. I didnt get an apology just when the other cop came to my window the statie was like "its not him' and they peeled out.

Best thing to do is give them the best "yes sir, no sir" routine and politely explain what happened. No matter how much they are in the wrong, its difficult to "win" in a situation like that. I have prosecuted many tickets where it was clear that the guy just got the ticket because of his attitude rather than "real" wrong doing. Here is the kicker - in everyone of those cases I can remember, the guy ended up pleading guilty and paying a fine because it was his word against the cops and who is a judge going to believe most of the time?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

some cops are jerks. especially the ones that got picked on when they were in school. they think its time for them to get paybak on everybody.
judges are so different between jurisdictions, some areas are more understanding while others want to fook u over.

its amazing what filing a formal complaint will do. Back in my skatboarding days, a cop was way out of line, and my rents filed a complaint, and he ended up getting suspended. Go for it man!

here is the bad thing with doing a compliant...
he will just be out watching for anything i do after that and have other cops watching me also!
all them cops stick together....
my car is an easy target and i dont need any more trouble
that is what i would get in the end

Man,
I know how that goes. One time I got harassed for a good five minutes while taking pictures in a public parking lot because he got a report of street racing in the area and saw me. I was so mad...I even had proof that I'd been there for 15 minutes but he wouldn't even acknowledge that and continued to accuse me.

Rodnie King Beat Down

LOL, Sad, But SO true.

I'ed be posting from jail if I yelled at a cop. you got balls to do that, however in your position I bet after a wile I'ed lose it too.

File a complate with his boss, let your voice be known that you feel the police are harrasing you because of a sterio type, and that there to buisy eating donuts, and checking your car to see what is really going on in the town.

No. Don't give us that bull****. File a complaint. If he harrasses you again, file ANOTHER complaint. And then, file a harrasment suit. In this day and age, cops can't get away with the kind of revenge behavior you're describing.

Unless you live in Yakima

Just ignore everything they are saying and tell them to go fvck themselves. I hate cops and treat them with absolutely no respect. Honestly the times that I've been nice to cops they've ticketed me every time. The times I've been a complete ass hole I've gotten off with a "warning". I like to tell them good luck prooving it in court I hope you can make it. Also make sure that right when they pull you over that you imediately get out of your car so they don't have time to right up the ticket before you get to bitch them out. Now if you know that you're caught and it was something wrong I don't think this advice is going to work for you. It's worked for me when they were going to give me a ticket for wreckless driving for taking an on ramp too fast... not my fault no one else knows how to drive and goes 30MPH until they get to the actual highway. Aren't on ramps made for acceleration anyway? Now that I think about it I was probably just lucky, but we'll see next time.

Have been pulled over 6 times and never got a ticket. Mostly because of exterior lights, lane changing, or something minor.

Cops in my hood stop people for any reason at all, just to take a peak at whats inside. Its quite annoying.

Good to hear the cop let you go DG, what a prick.

DG i feel for you. I live in a house thats basically on the campus of Northern Illinois University, so i have stupid Campus Police all around. Iv only been pulled over 3 times in my life and every time it has been by a campus officer. I took one to court and won one time, and then like a week later the same cop pulled me and my friend over at the same time and told us both that he never wanted to see our cars on campus again. SO i called and complaind... Got to keep the cops in check!
