As the title says my car wont start. Heres the deal. I have power going to everything. When I turn the key nothing happens. I have tested the battery. . . it is fine. no fuses are blown. When you would normally hear the starter engage then the engine turn over , there is just silence. When I turn the key you hear nothing. I have the starter almost off. Also the terminals around the starter are fully powered. They are receiveing the juice they need. Hence my thought of it is the starter. Please help me if anyone knows what else could be wrong. I believe it it the starter but I just would like some other peoples input. I am picking up the new starter today friday, but just incase it is not the problem I would like ya'lls in put. Thanks so very much.

It's a possibility it might be the thing behind the clutch. My car won't start sometimes, then I let go of the clutch and step on it harder it starts.

the thing behind the clutch is called a nutral safety switch and yeah if that witch is screwed up then you stater wont engage if thats the case get a wiring diagram and you can bypass the switch but be carful if you do because then you wont have to push in the clutch to start your car

there are few other things to check the electrical to your ignition ot simply the your ignition is toast or it could be a relay but if i remember right we dont have a relay for the starter on the celis just a fuse i think but hope these ideas help

*New update for my broken car for 01/01/05*

I really appreciate the help guys, just a quick update, no matter how I push the clutch nothing changes. I have replaced the starter no help, but when I changed the starter fuse (30amp right) it just blows each time I change it. What could that be. any help is appreciated.

Thanks Guys,

**Update**

Got it running finally, turns out when the car was sitting idle for a week while I was out of town the battery corroded. I changed out the terminal and heard a click, I had tripped a fuse by accident. Everything is running fine now. Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks
