Hey i dropped my celica 1.5" / 1" with Tein springs this summer and its definitively a great improvement (handling/look). Thing is, i live in Canada and we have lot of snow/ice in winter and im getting a little bit less happy about my springs... already crushed a gaz line and the plastic guards uunder fornt bumper have been torn apart just because im 1.5" lower and theres not much snow yet...

Maybe I should have put coilovers so i can jack my car when winter comes? I heard coilovers = harsh ride thats why I went with the springs. Anyone who is going to dropp think about it if you live upthere...

Yeah but were not talking about the same budget...

Tein Springs on stock suspension (or kyb gr2s) = 150$
Ground Controls with Konis = 600$+

But i agree that second option would be ideal for summer/winter.

yes but i wouldn't advise that for snow or with a kit...
if you get snow its best to have coils

I had GC's for about 2 yrs and never even raised them during winter season. Main reason I got GC's in the first place was the fact that we do get snow here in Michigan. I just never even bothered to raise them. It's a good think I put the S-Techs on because when I took my GC's off, the aluminum sleeve was split right at the base about 1.5". frown.gif
