Does anyone think it would be possible to have t-tops cut out professionally for under 2000 dollars?

probably not because there is a lot more work than just cutting it out.... i have thought about getting a targa top like the supras....in my mind (which is a little strange) that would be less.

It's too much of a hassle, I don't wanna cruise with the top off than park somewhere and worry about it being jacked if the targa is not back on. Also, the stability won't be so pleasant..you'd need a bar to keep the thingies to not shake.

ARe you talking about supra t-tops or mr2 t-tops?

it will be $$$$ and you won't like the way it affects your handling.

Well, I wouldn't mind leaving my car parked out in the open targa-less. I custom made a bar for the targa and let me tell you this, the shaking effect dissappeared when it is installed and handles smooth. Having the bar up on top of your head is just too unpleasant and not so view/feel pleasing.

I think that would be sweet as hell..but I've heard alot of horror stories of aftermarket moonroofs leaking..I can't imagine the problems you could run into with that big a project. And pricing..well this shop I know wants 399 just for a sunroof for my dads mercedes...so I dont know...
