Alright, I'm getting the dreaded check engine light. Only mod I have done recently, was cutting out the little(secondary muffler) replacing that with straight pipe and replacing the main muffler. Now one week later I keep smelling something burning, whch I think is the new muffler, but the check engine light went on. It didn't go on right away, it took about a week after i got the muffler. I got a 97, so can anyone tell me where the reader hangs dwn from so I can put a scan reader on it. Is it on the right side of the steering wheel underneath? Man I'm hoping its a 02 sensor, cuz I heard the erg sensors are alot more expensive. Can I use the paperclip method on the 5sfe motor? Thanks

Just follow the ignition (keyhole) straight down

You can't use the pin method with an OBDII car

and if it's the EGR system. just forget about it. Who the hell cares. Mine goes out every 3rd week. I'm no longer replacing it.
