Today was not a good day for my friend Chris and me..
I was at the junkyard looking for something for my gf's car when it started to snow very bad. I left and was on my way home when I saw Chris in the middle of a turning lane. He had hit a curb and snapped his front wheel completley off. his airbags also deployed and his windshield was cracked. While I was turning around to go see if he was alright, I went about 15 ft down into a ditch in the median. Somehow I was able to back out of it. So I get to Chris's car and see the damage and wait for a tow truck. Well a cop is there and he says we can leave and he will wait for the tow truck. We are sooo close to Chris's house when I am struck in the front by a Nissan Pathfinder. It was the other guys fault. He was turning right on the road that I was going straight on and he just slid across the road and hit me. I am going to need a new hood, front bumper, and fender. The frame is also RIPPED in one part near the headlights, so I am sure it will cost a lot to get fixed. I shouldnt have to pay anything to get my car fixed but it still pisses me off considering I hit a deer last week. This car has been nothing but bad luck and I am going to sell it as soon as it comes out of the bodyshop. And later on that night Chris got a concussion (sp?) and had to goto the hospital. We took him home and I had to stay up all night to wake him up every 2 hours to make sure he didnt go into a coma. -------------------- |

I would like to go back to another Celica, but with my luck the same things would happen. Most likley I am going to get a truck until later on when I can afford a fast car
And I just talked to Geico. Tomorrow I drop my car off at Two Guys Autobody to get repaired. Two Guys is an awesome shop that does very good work it will just take a long time, so I am getting a rental car too. Thank God I dont have to spend a dime on this whole thing. -------------------- |

ha, nothing. i too have had seriously bad luck. i mean no seriously bad accidents but just a like... oh crap ones where u get freaked out.. beginning of summer got into a wreck and destroyed my spoiler, trunk, and rear tail light. after getting out of the shop, 1 month later at the beach some bitches keyed my car and such it was pretty much a pussy thing to do and it was hit twice in the same day by the same people... they just keyed the same spot again no big deal, just further more pissing me off. after getting it out of the body shop again and then 2 weeks later a friend backed up into my car (he was in a truck, higherd about 2 feet) and no damage to his truck comparedly, i dented his mud flap while me being in the celica he nudged my alignment to the right conciderably and destroyed my driver side fender, and dented my window post on the driver side and ripping off the mirror. the bill being around 2000+ dollars right now after all the work for the summer, i myself only paid 400 of it for the sliding accident into a tree. alright i thought it was all over, then i think 3 weeks ago my car gets tagged by a bunch of bitches at the school by spray paint, got the whole car and such, but im pretty good friends by now with the body shop mechanic by now...so i called him at 12 that night because i came back from a game and found it like this and called the police and such... neways i was back up there at 7 am at Johnson's Auto Body and he was the one who sealed my whole car so he was pretty safe at applying acetone to the car and pretty much removed the paint for 50 dollars plus 300 for the whole body buff cuz the spray paint did some damage to the clear coat.... once the payments have gone away conciderabley.... im selling the car its bad luck. but i mean it does have some good in it... picks up chicks, when its pretty.

Tell me about it, I think 6gcs are bad luck to some people. I got my estimate today and it was $3400 and I dont have to pay for any of it.
And Blackout16, I have spent almost $10,000 in repairs to this car for various things, and that is NOT including the $6,000 that I spent on the car originally. This post has been edited by bojangles_8686: Jan 21, 2005 - 10:51 PM -------------------- |

oh well i spent 12,000 for mine.. no joke like... 4 years ago that was the KBB price for a 1994 celi... and that was just a 3,000 ish estimate for just exterior work not counting the engine work or new tires cuz of worn out....

I actually think 6gc's are bad luck to almost everyone...
I myself have had an engine swap for almost a year that dosnt work, and has cost so much more then estimated. And 2 weeks after getting the car the clutch go's out completly... My 5s-fe decided to have the third spark plug blow out of it, denting my hood... then blew out again like a month later, then a third time on valentines day but that time the plug wouldnt go back in... Not to mention the dents, dings, and keying of my car... And other people, get all there body work, engine work etc done for it to only last a few months at best... Toyceli8 crashed after having his working swapped, full paint and body kit celi for like 2 months at most. Kuya cracked his front lip like the day he picked the car up after not having the car for like a year. Ghost_Dog had something happen to his rear end after getting that beautiful blue paint job... the stories go on and on, the car is cursed... |
