It's been awhile since I posted here, but as always, 6gc.net is a great place to be.
I think I'm into my 7th or 8th month of searching for a Celica, and have certainly let a few good ones by. (Two that come to mind are a '94 GT-FOUR with 226k km on the clock for the price of a normal celica, and a white '98 SX with 19 000 km on the clock). Anyways, I was wondering if there was any common or recurring faults on the 6th gen that I should look out for? Any help is greatly appreciated. -------------------- |

the starter is pretty common. Other than that, no much else just normal wear and tear (brakes, tires, ect.)

If you have oil coming out your vent you probably have a leak somewhere, I doubt your burning it.
I thought I was burning oil but it ended up I had the front main seal leaking, as well as the rear main seal. Now I go through almost no oil at all. |

Actually I think the biggest problem that most celica owners here complain about is it just isn't fast enough

Amen Other than that and the burning oil with high miles thats it. Toyotas are very well built cars over all. There just not powerhouses. |
