its a 2003 suzuki GSX-R 600 with only 1800 miles, its custom painted lexus white with chrome graphics

just wanted to share the news with those that cared, also i will say that i really miss the old celica i'm kinda sad about selling it.

I've always wanted a bike...

i'm just not willing to go get the license and have to worry about driving in the rain, taking more than 1 person somewhere, taking things on trips...

but man they look fun!

They are not that expensive. You can easily find a good one for $4K. I plan on getting one during this winter. I'm looking for and older R6 and working up to an R1. Gixxers are nice but we all know Yamahas are nicer and faster(i'm talking 600's here).

The new R6 broke into the 9's in the 1/4 mile.

ummm gxrs vs yamaha hmmmmm i dunno
thats a tuff thing to call but i wouldn't say they are nicer
cause each bike has its own lil issues personally suzuki fits me better and i like the way they ride in comparison to yamaha and lets not forget the hyabusa(sp) and the zx12r are the 2 fast production bikes not an R1 even though i love the r1's looks but for a 600 i think suzuki takes the cup

Im going the same route this summer hopfully. But I think Im going to start off with just a suzuki gs-500e.. I love the way they look without farings. That and the bikes sell used pretty dang cheap.

Yeah, they're fun...currently have 3, all cruisers, (will be selling 1 or 2 this spring as I just bought the 3rd one), as far as the sportbikes, better check the price of insurance 1st, for some stupid reason, insurance on the Ninja types with all the bodywork is a lot higher than the "naked street" version of the same type motorcycle, that said, I rode a Kawasaki ZRX1200R last fall, quite impressive, just running thru the gears and not even trying or getting close to redline (11,000 RPM i think it was) its crossing 95mph in 3rd gear,,, I probably wouldn't have my license long with one of those,,,

Co-worker bought a used Hayabusa 2 years ago, 1 year old and it had less than 20 miles on it. that thing is scary fast, my theory is the guy picked it up and scared himself so bad on the ride home, he never got on the bike again. sat in his garage for a year b4 he sold it. co-worker took it down the dragstrip and ran low 10's his 1st pass, they told him not to come back without the firesuit and protective gear. Hayabusa's will supposedly run over 180 mph right off the showroom floor, I'm not going to find out.

Should crack 200mph as stock. If you have the balls to do it.

I'll pass.

180-200 either's too fast for a production street bike for less than $10k, I may have been thinking of the kawasaki zx12r
