1) i have a manual transmission. how do i bypass the clutch button without buying some rediculous bypass switch, module, etc.? anyone just put a metal plate over it or something?

2) i have power door actuators with a green and blue wire. my alarm is supposed to come with power door relays built into the brain, hence it only has 2 wires that are supposed to go to the doors, a blue and a green. do i just match the colors?? cuz its not working for me........what does that diagram mean in the car installation guide? are those relays i have to go and buy?

3) wheres the parking brake wire? i need to connect to this for my turbo timer to work.

4) i have an orange wire for anti-grind. any idea where this hooks up to?

ive been looking all over the forums for this information but nobody has any clear and precise information. frown.gif

what kind of alarm did you get? You dont need relays. Did you buy actuators, or do you already have power locks? Its going to have 2 functions lock and unlock. Post some info, and Ill try to help you thru some of alarm stuff

ill try and measure the intercooler tomorrow..

k yea the alarm states it has door relays built in. i dont have power locks, BUT check this out. i yank off my door panel and guess what? theres actuators already there!!! i guess a long time ago it HAD power door locks, but then it got disconnected and never used again. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

1) when i bypassed my clutch, i just pulled my harness out(its gonna be on the clutch somewhere), and people say u just cut and connect the 2 wires together, but i wanted to put minr back to stock one day, so i took a peice of wire and jumped it on the harness, then ziptied the peice of wire to the harness.

2) from the Diagram:
Power Lock Blue/Back - Lock Module right of column
Power Unlock Blue and Green *2 - Lock Module right of column

now if u have JUST actuators this dosent apply to u, but if u have an unlock/lock switch in ur car it does

for unlock, just split the wire from the alarm, diode each one with stripes facing the alarm wire.

3) from diagram:
Brake Wire Green/White + Driver Kick Panel, if u cant find it there u can usually find it on ur brake pedal, but its ususally a paint in the arse to get to it that way

4) it should say in ur instructions...

1. thanks, im gonna check it out today.

2. i dont have power door switches, everything is manual. its just that the actuators were there confused.gif so now what do i do?

3. thats for the normal brake pedal and not the parking/ emergency brake (or is it the same wire for both??)

4. the instructions say its a wire that provides a ground source so that a relay is activated for anti-grind, etc. does that mean it just gets connected to the black wire?

then u should just have to tap into the actuator wires, if they work

ive never heard of a alarm that uses the emergencey brake....r sure its not the normal brake?

bout the antigrind, im not too familar with them b/c i install DEI and they have anti grind built in

the e-brake is used so that it will only start when it is engaged

k, ive come across more problems, help me please!!!!! frown.gif

my alarm has 2 harness attachments. the 6 wire is for the starter. and the 20 wire is for the main alarm. i got the alarm to work just fine, but its the remote start fuction that is really screwy. Here's what my manual lists:

6-pin starter harness

1. RED WIRE A - Main Power Input A (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch with a minimum 30 mp supply. Remove the fuse until the installation is complete and all wiring is checked.

--- i connected this to the black/red wire coming from ignition switch ---

2. RED WIRE B: Main Power Input B (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch with a minimum 30 mp supply. Note: if connecting at the ignition switch, it is highly recommended to use separate power wires for each red wire. Remove the fuse until the installation is complete and all wiring is checked.

--- i connected this to my neon power wire that goes directly to the battery ---

3. BROWN WIRE: Second Ignition Output (+). The Brown wire provides +12v for a second ignition wire. This wire may instead be programmed for use as a second accessory or second starter wire.

--- i connected this wire to the blue/red wire coming from ignition switch ---

4. ORANGE WIRE: Accessory Output (+). Connect to the accesory wire coming from the ignition switch that supplies power to the heater/air conditioner. Some cars may have multiple accessory wires.

--- i connected this wire to the gray wire coming from ignition switch ---

5. YELLOW WIRE: Ignition Output (+). Connect to the main ignition wire that provides +12v when the ignition is on and while cranking the starter.

--- i connected this wire to the black wire coming from ignition switch ---

6. VIOLET WIRE: Starter Output (+). Connect to the vehicle's starter wire

--- i connected this wire to the black/white wire coming from the ignition switch

k, now for my problems i am having with my connections.....

when i put the fuse in for the red wire that goes to the black/red, my heater/AC becomes functional and the radiator fan starts going. so i took the fuse out.

when i put the fuse in the red wire that goes to my neon power wire (which goes to the battery) the engine turns when i press on the clutch. wtf? confused.gif so i took that fuse out also.

a couple more things id like to make sure.

BLUE/ORANGE WIRE: Ground when running output (-) 500 mA. Connect to an optional factory security bypass module if required.

--- i connected this to the black ground input wire --- (is that right??)

BLACK/WHITE WIRE: Dome Light Output (-) 500 mA. Connect to the wire that activates the vehicle's dome light, usually the door pin switch wire. NOTE: The dome light output can usually connect to the same wire used for the door trigger input (see GREEN and VIOLET door trigger wires).
VIOLET WIRE: Positive Door Input (+). Connect to the door switch circuit wire taht shows +12v when the door is open. This type of door circuit is usually found on Ford Vehicles.
GREEN WIRE: Negative Door Input (-). Connect to the door switch circuit wire that shoes ground when the dojor is open.

--- i only have the green wire connected to the black/white wire, then both to the red/white on the driver's kick panel. --- (is that right??)

now for the alarm's green wire.............

GREEN WIRE: Parking Brake Input (-) For vehicles equipped with a turbo charged engine. Must be connected if using the Turbo Timer feature.

(where is the parking brake wire???)
