Im trying to finish up my all Black/Red Interior but im a little stumped on the clock color.
Ive taken the whole thing apart and read that alot of people were putting transparent film in front of the clock to make it blue. But because of the green/turquoise color of the clock, how can i get the clock to be red?? I know Defgeph and shid have already done this, or were going to do this but i couldnt find out how. Im open to any suggestions... -------------------- 95 Celica ST 95 Supra NA |

when I made mine blue I took the plastic lens out because it was tinting it a weird color. the digits on my clock are pure white w/ otu anything in front of them ....so were ur digits a green/turquoise color before or after u took ur clock apart?
Im thinking urs are white too, if you want it a true red u will have to remove the tinted lens!! -------------------- |

Your's were White??? damn, even after removing the lens thing mine were a super bright green. If mine were white changing to red would be no prob, hehe.
Just to make things clear - I took the clock out of the Dash and removed the back cover (the thing with the 3 skinny screws) once i removed that i saw the actual clock and the amber lens that was inside the top cover. I took the Abber lens out and put a red transparent film to give it the red numberings, but when i tested it out the color was Purple. So i removed the red film just to see the color of the clock and it was the super green color. The Amber lens just appeared to be dimming it down a bit. -------------------- 95 Celica ST 95 Supra NA |

hmmm I had to unscrew 4 skinny long screws. And yea mine is white! So maybe they changed it up a bit for the '99 celicas I dunno. I thought about just leaving it white haha....that might be fun for a day I dunno...might be too bright...?

Damn, a white clock would solve all my problems! I wonder if the connector on the back is the same for our 2 different clocks.
Anyone interested in trading there ugly plain white clock for a nice Super green one? haha -------------------- 95 Celica ST 95 Supra NA |

Ya, it doesnt explain how he did it or if it was green or not. I knew Shid has a red clock at one point, thats why i thought just to get transparent red film (or binder tabs) but the base color of my clock is green and there no way to make Red from green....right?

the only thing i can think of for you to do is somehow buy a clock that has the white numbers. my clock was bright green with the lens off, and when i got another clock of this site, it was green too.

There HAS to be another solution tho. Im sure SOMEONE out there has tried to do this with a green clock.
It will look pretty sick if i have everything else in the car black and red, except for the damn green clock. I know it will bother the hell out of me. -------------------- 95 Celica ST 95 Supra NA |
