How the hell did the fire start? I'd be pissed man. I think all the metal components should be fine, run over there before they clean up the mess and recover the parts.

Alright, now that I'm sober and can accurately describe the situation, I wil fill you in..

I rent a storage unit from this guy who frequent drinks at the bar I work in. He owns a machine shop. Behind the machine shops are two storage buildings with a number of garages built in them.. One building (where my unit is) is perpendicular to the shop and is closest to the shop. The other one is behind the first building and runs parallel to the shop.. The shop was filled with explosive/flammable materials and some how something was sparked that sent the flames up.. .Luckily, the owner's son happened to drive by the shop on his way home and saw the smoke billowing out of the exhaust vents near the top of the shop. So the firetrucks and emergency units arrived in time to get the fire under control before the explosive materials blew up.

Neither of the storage units caught on fire. But the buildings are close enough to each other that it very easily could have. I have not been able to get to my unit yet because they're still investigating and cleaning up the mess the fire made. The shop still stands, but it will be a couple weeks before business is back on track (obviously).

In the shop, was the owner's '55 Chevy that was completely restored and built up (run's 10 second 1/4s i believe..) and his newest project, a '49(i think) Ford pickup. I don't know yet if either of them have any damage or not..

In my unit is: MR2T transmission, FMIC, GT Radiator, Motor Mounts, Exhaust stuff, Speakers, OEM Side skirts, Hiro rear splitters, a spare rim and tomorrow was scheduled to have the AWD transmission, 3SGTE motor and some other miscellaneous stuff.

All of that is valued well over $4000 worth of car parts. When I found out about the fire, I almost had a heart-attack...

I'll fill you guys in on more details as I get them along with some pictures of the damage if I can take some.
