Ok guys,

I'll re check all my rear lights again !

yeah recycle that's the one i mean, it's not on any other celica, i check in
    over the weekend frown.gif

so it could just be a loose wire even.....

    Gas65..... why ???

Us Americans don't have that warning light so I was giving you ideas as to what it might be. I used to own a Honda that had a warning light that would kick on when you hit a bump if the hatchback was'nt shut down tight.

I had the same problem on my GT4 when i changed my rear lights. if there is no light when you start up the car and when you press the brakes the light come on, then one of you brake light bulbs is burnt. more specifically, the bulb has 2 springs that light up. one is the low that lights up when you turn on your lights and the other spring in the bulb is the one that makes a brighter light when you brake. When you start up the car its ok, but when you press the brakes, the burnt light triggers the sensor to indicate that you have a burnt brake light bulb.

Neoklis is right. The rear light bulbs have 2 elements. One parking light and the other lights when braking. The 2 elements have different resistances and sizes. It is
possible to still get a brake light warning light after you've replaced a blown bulb.
This is because the bulb can be fitted accidentally so the elements end up on opposing circuits. If you've changed bulbs recently and still have the dash light
just switch the bulb around 180 degrees. This is the case for jap cars, don't know
if it applies to US models.
