anyways i got a ACT 6 puck clutch put in.. and now it seems like i can't take off w/o burning some rubber.. the clutch grips real good.. but i am just wondering how i should go about coming outta firs.t. i don't wanna ease the clutch too much.. or i'll mess up my clutch again.. but if i through it up it burns out.. and too much gas does the same...

what do most of you do.. (w/performance clutches).. more gas or less gas? ease into 1st or through it into 1st?

maybe it's a situation where you gotta go by feel. but i am just wondering how i should ride it.. or maybe i just need it tuned.. or something.. but it just seems too hard for me to keep it from burning out and drawing attention from cops

A Puck'd clutch is actually supposed to be used on street performance machines. Your car I've noticed is mostly stock and the puck'd clutch is way to much grab for your car. They are not made for easy shifting and starting they are made for grab and go. You can't really stress them out a ton and make them go bad without a TON of stress. I really don't know what to tell you since its already in the car and a pain in the butt to get out.

well i think i figured out the trick today... outta first i don't even need to give it gas when switching gears.. going into first i just gotta give it less gas than i did before.. barely rev it to about 2k... anything over 2.5k and the rubbers squeak..

I love the clutch now.. doesn't add power but adds getup and go.. i can chirp into 3rd gear.. and chirp when accelerating from 3k rpms in 2nd gear... so yeah gonna need more rubber replacement but i like it because... each gear can handle more.. and from what you guys are saying ... i won't ever have to worry about my clutch going bad.. well at least for a while...

got a damn good deal on it too.. 450 installed... can't beat that...

i dont understand why everyone seems to rev over 2k rpms when starting in first. I barely hit 1.5 and thats a completely smooth aceleration.
