www.club4ag.com Go to the tech section. Also, Kwanza and I have had MANY discussions on this subject on these forums. The info is all here, I just don't feel like searching for it.

The 4a head fits the 7a block with no mods. If you use the stock 7a bottom end though, your compression will be hella low. Yes, 4ag dizzy, and you Should use the 4a wiring harness and ECU. Preferably the .....91? geo prizm or chevy nova?, that had the MAP ECU and wiring set up. BOth cars came with the toyota 4ag small port.

just a noob red neck question.. lets say you take the 7a block and bolt it directly to the 4a head of a 91 nova? Would it start and run? what i'm asking is.. would the engine even come to life with the stock 4a ecu and cooling lines. COmpletely nothing else done.

ummm just that done probley not... the 4age head will drop compression greatly... i figure ill have to custom out the harness, have to use the distrib/coil/ignition components form a 4age, sensors as well... theres gonna be a lil custom work but im sure we'll manage..

Your best bet when using a 4a-ge head, is to use 4a-gze pistons. then that will make a nice set-up for a turbo. If your going N/A it would still be nice, and then just use ITB's Iv seen them on e-bay in perfect condition for $700

does a 4agze tranny bolt up to a 4age or the 7afe? and would it be a smart thing to do? just thinking about having 6 speed tranny on a 7age hybrid.

the 6 speed only came on the blacktop 20v, and they are a bit on the rare side

That's HELLA EXPENSIVE!!! The guy originally had them up for 600.00 and it did not sell. I guess his price still was too low... rolleyes.gif Anyhow... a complete kit with MAP ECU, harness, sensors, dizzy, coil/ignitor, basically everything you need sells for about 700-800 on ebay. That guy is smoking crank if he thinks he's gonna get full value for everything... Typical 4AG 20V ITBs are only about 200.00 or so...

Also... try doing a search. I've gone trhough this in fair detail quite a few times already...
