so i got some new tires maybe 5k miles ago... could be a little bit more, but they're still pretty new. so the other day im digging my car out of the snow, and i noticed that they're really wearing unevenly. one side of the tires, the inside of them, is already bald... like down to the metal lining coming out bald... this happened on my old tires, but they were the ones that came with my GT rims, so i figured they were just old... but new tires shouldnt be wearing out that fast... the outside of the tires are fine, but the insides are already bald... any idea of what could be the cause of that?

camber? I think thats the right term. Have you had it aligned recently? Messed with the suspension since the last time it was aligned?

This is usually a sign of mis-alignment. Could be camber but u'd have to have ur car pretty low to do that.

The toe in is probably out of alignment, get it checked.

Like the others said it's probably just an alignment problem. You could check to see if you ball joints on that side are going bad though. Jack the car up and grab the top of the tire and the bottom of the tire, jiggle it a little. If it moves you may need new ball joints.
