I just wanted to know a ballpark amout of how much it would cost to have an engine removed, then replaced with the same kind of engine, only a new one. Im thinking like 1000 bucks. if its cheaper im amped

depends on the going rate for swaps in ur area and who is doing it. The place i'm going to do my engine swap quoted me 700-1000 for the 3sge swap. Not including any parts

Depends on the shop's rate. Typically, it should be much less than 1000.00. Our shop usually charges around 300-400 for labor on basic engine replacements. Tune up parts, gaskets, belts and such are extra...

100$ an hour..a good shop should do the job in around 4 hours.... thats if u have all the parts and they don't have to call out to get any extra stuff u might forgotte.. and replace anything that has broke...

Also I would say if its just a replacement, try your self, just get a lift and some nice tools an a friend to help. |

If you have the engine you could probably do it for close to nothing. Another member in MA did this a few months ago. I know, I helped him Presure2 (Manny) is his name. If you are serious about doing this and you have a newer engine, he would probably help you do it. PM him presure2's profile He would at least let you know everything you would possibly need to gett he job done right.

ELP charges like $55 an hour for mechanical, although this may only be fore certain mechanical things.
My local tuner shop charges like $75, but usually hook me up cause im a repeat customer. |
