I think coomer relocated his battery to the back. im also looking to do this this summer. Here's a relocation kit. It looks like a good deal, especially with 2ga cable. You could probably run the power cable inside the car along the side or down the middle. Im wondering where you would get a good ground in the trunk tho

I ran mine to the back using 1 gauge wire left the battery grounds at the front and ran the power under the car thru the trunk and Then I used 1 gauge for the groung in the trunk and bolted it to the floor for a good ground. Now im making a floor cover out of carbon fiber to fit on the floor of the car to replace the carpet and the battery will be mounted to the carbon fiber. To all the guys going to put the batteries in the trunk please use 1 gauge wire because there is less resistance and easier power flow and wont heat up as easy and make sure you use the proper end fitting for those cables.

2 guage will be fine, stock wiring at the thickest is like 8. but like he said, make sure the connections are good, and make sure you dont have any cuts or crimps in the cable.

you would most likely still want to run ground cable to the engine bay, grounding it in the trunk will provide lots of resistence, and the starter might not get anough power. If you look at your setup now, that is where the ground go's directly to so it needs a good source of power to start the car.
