hey for those who have done the swap where did u get it done and how much did it cost you?


and for a gt engine what should be the average price for one in good condition... i saw one for $550 from a 95gt 80k miles 90 day waranty

anyone can input on that last one.

what kind of swap? jamasco in hollywood is know for doing a lot celica swaps.

i was thinkin 3S-GE with vvti? i have no idea price range for that and ofocurse putting it in ... and how about the price for the GT engine (5S-FE) all ive seen is 800+ but this one is 550 with 80k miles ....

yeah, real good work, lots of experience, but pricey ... they did my swap... 300hp to the wheels .

my swap cost me 9k, included rims, tires, standalone, fmic, piping, underdrive pully, axels, turbo timer, boost controller, and tunning... 6700 parts 300 dyno 2k labor..

9k? wow, thats expensive. Still cheaper than a new car though. How much of that was the rims and tires? There's kind of a wide range of price for that. I'm assuming 1k. It looks good. Is it a manual? I have a auto right now, and if I'm going to swap to that, I think I'd want them to put a manual in with it. Yours included a new tranny right? Also, I like that they fit all the stuff right under the radio spot.

XXX_Mina's cost aint that bad seeing as how he has a full stand alone ecu, 3rd gen 3sgte, mr2 tranny, and other toys. 2k for laybor is about standard from any mechanic for an engine swap.
