Hey...

First off my car is an ongoing project lol...

Anyways, when I bought the car the tint was all bubbled but I got like 600 off because of it. I just started to take it off yesterday and there was no way to get it off without messing up the defroster lines on the rear window (it just pulled the conductive coating off on most of it).

So anyways, I have to replace the defroster on the rear window.

I found this: http://www.frostfighter.com/ff_pdt_2600.htm

Its a complete repair kit except I dont want to use their ghetto switch system. I want to tap it into the current defrost system. The guy from that company said I can do so, I just have to locate the power tabs or something on the car, but I cant find any information on where these are located on our cars. Anyone have an idea where the power tab connection stuffy is for the rear defroster? Once I know where it is I will get the repair kit.

i think by tabs he means the parts that connected the wire going to the rear window to the actual defroster metal on the glass. you could probably use those stock wires that are already run back there, and you would use the stock switch as well.

EDIT: here is a picture of the tabs he is talking about, this ones off the same website

best way to repair the rear window defroster is to aim your two middle air vents at the back window, works like a charm!

If you have a hatch, they are on the top of the window. You need to remove the plastic trim from the top and sides of the hatch. They are held in by clips and pop out with a panel tool or screwdriver quite easily.

Not so sure about a coupe
