I am looking for performance parts for my ST. I am assuming it has the 7AFE engine (same as 93-97 corolla) but specifically I am looking for an exhaust system. Can you help me? Thanks.

try the search button just so you know its there

and as for performance parts just assume there are none
greddy made an exhaust but no longer does don't bother trying to find it its near impossible as for that you have nothing

you need
universal muffler take to an exhaust shop and have them make a 2.25" custom exhaust
umm coilovers and springs are available
a bunch of suspension and body stuff nothing really performance

here is link
http://www.6gc.net/index.php?category=all&...rt&action=parts

you can narrow the search down my tranny body style year and such

Try owning a GT, there's a good bit more stuff for the ST's. At least this is what I've though.

I think Weapon R makes a good intake for it. But i have the same dilema in searching for performance parts for my st and if anyone knows the answer to this I was wondering how much hp is the 7afe capible of if you had it loaded with mods?

I take it you are looking for bolt-on stuff, in which case you should have bought a different car. I have the GT but if you look at my profile most of the stuff I have besides the header will be possible for your car as well. Most of the time I make my own mods or just modify mods from other cars - whatever. It's obviously more time consuming but I usually like the results better and I take pride in hand modifying my car.
As for the exhaust the best thing to do would be what playr158 said and have a custom 2.25 exhaust made for your car. We got pretty good results out of my friends 4A-GE (something of the predecessor to your engine) powered Geo Prism GSI (Geo-Rolla) by just upgrading the spark plugs, spark plug wires/distributer cap, added a 2.5 inch short ram intake and a universal muffler on the stock piping. Mostly you will gain throttle response etc. Don't look for huge gains out of your 7A unless you plan to do what Frotou is doing with his 7A turbo set up.
Also one thing to remember is that your Toyota was already impressively setup with good intake (restrictive but cold at least) decent sized exhaust piping (at least on the GT's), plugs and wires were stock Denso (same as NGK) etc. so the gains will be less than on some other cars that have really crappy stock set-ups.
Good luck. wink.gif

Good advice, I'll second it. You'll figure out how to make your own stuff fairly quickly, or you'll get fed up with the car. Intake you can use a Honda Civic short ram air. Exhaust would be good with a generic, but try shopping for "Honda Muffler." Usually Honda parts are going to be cheaper than anything else, even when they are the one size fits all deals.

Thanks for the advise. I already have a cold air intake on the car. im not sure the brand off the tyop of my head, when i find out i will let you all know. as for the exhaust, i dont want a whiny muffler. i want a deep low tone. i was looking at either tanabe or hayame(cheaper) but there is a magnaflow muffler for about 400 bucks. and brands you would suggest?

Megan Racing Muffler, I have this, and it sounds pretty good. It's a low tone on the GT, and it's like $100. I'm not sure how it would be on an ST though, probably the same.

Here

This is were you can find them. Just pick one. I've got the M-N1 turbo Muffler with the 2.5in inlet, it was important at the time to have a silencer with it. I'll help you out if you need help man, but all you had to do was type in megan racing on yahoo or google and it'll pop up.

another option for bolt on performace is either forced induction or swaping... thats how must of us get the most outta our cars... what makes our cars unique is that theres not always parts available of our cars, so when you do see one that moves like a bat outta hell it gives you a warm an fuzzy feeling...

It just so happens that I have one for sale. I used it for a week but I liked the sound of my old muffler better so I switched them back out. The sound on the Megan is great but I just prefered the other one. It looks really nice - it has th megan name on the tip and it has two free flow mufflers on one Y pipe. The hangers are already setup for your car if they are the same as the GT's. I'll take $100 for it (I paid $140.00). PM me if you want it or a picture of it on a 6th gen.
