I was painting my calipers and I was covering my car with newspaper and scotch tape. When I finished, I noticed that the scotch tape left adhesive marks on the car. How do I remove this? It's sticky, like when you peel off a sticker. I want to remove this without removing the paint. Lol. Help a.s.a.p. Thanks!

Any mild detergent will work fine - this is scotch tape afterall. I would be careful about alcohol or turpentine type compounds if you stuck any to painted areas.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Goo gone is made for this problem...it isn't called "everything gone" and therefore won't take off your paint...do not use nail polish, lol.

Well I tried to remove some scotch tape adhesive from my car using alcohol and it scratched the car up for some reason. i used a soft towel and I rubbed it softly. I don't know why. But i bought this scratch remover thing from an auto parts store nearby. I wanted to know if anyone's used this before and if it'll work. Thanks.
