So I got off work yesterday and was heading home the usual way and there was a cop pulling out of a Fire Station with his light to go left so i go past him and he decides to go right and be right behind me. I see him run my plates then as soon as the light turned green he pulled me over. I had no where to pull over so i got over as much as i could on the road and while in the process i rubbed my rim up against the curb. Cop comes to my window and i open the sunroof and say "sorry sir it doesnt roll down" then he told me he pulled me over for no front license plate and that people have been jacking license plates from the front of a car then putting it on the same kind of car they just stole so that it wont come up stolen in the data base. I inform him that it was hanging by one bolt last night so i took it off and it should be in the trunk. He asks me to pop it and i tell him that it doesnt pop by the latch he has to use the key. So he tries 4 times to use the key and cant open it. He asks me to get out and do it. so I do and NOTHING is back there. He told me to go sit in my car and he would be back. 10 mins goes by and he gives me a written warning (they have to give written evidence in seattle now everytime ur pulled over cuz they were getting so many complaints about racially profiling) and he saw thru my lie. he told me "i know front license plates make the car ugly and you have some beautiful custom work but if i have to use one on my classic car then you have to use one"

So its my fault i got pulled over. I just hate being pulled over. I have court in 2 weeks for a ticket i got a few months ago. But yeah it was just odd that he pulled me over cuz seattle cops never pull you over for little things because its so hard with all the traffic

ohh for the cable thing why it won't pop it. it happened to me the mount for the cable broke by the latch so when i pulled the cable it was just pulling itself and not the latch. so that's where some zipties come in handy.
