Well after 1 month of going to all kinds of shops to find out why my engine was buring oil to about 1qt every 2 weeks or so.Even after changing the oil every 2 weeks as well. My engine finally **** the bed. I was on the highway and half way to where I was going my car wouldnt accelorate. So being not stupid I immeditaly pull over to the break-down lane, and shut off the car. Well after I etting it sit for a second. I tried to start it back up and no go. But straight to the point now. My block is gone on the celi(cracked).

So now is the problem. I w/o a car. Since currently going through the lawsuit of getting rid of the GSX eclipse I told you all about. In July i'm leaving for the navy. After I get out of bootcamp i'm buying a Volks GTI. And in June I'm going to Cancun. I aint giving about either of those things. What kind of block should I put on the car till then. I dont want another lame 7afe block tho???? frown.gif

Lantz is selling his 7a with 75k miles on it for $150, check in the buy sell trade forum. He is from OH so you would need it shipped but it shouldn't be to bad.

If Janet has 6 apples, and Jonny has 5 apples, haw many apples does Jane have?

Put the 7a back in and boost it.

Hmmmmm.

Yup, works for me.

The block gone was his first suggestion, so today when he thourghly looked at it. It was the bearing that went. He said that it would be cheaper to get a used motor than to replace the bearings. Is he right?

Alright, the guy found a 7afe for $900 70k miles. Then he wants $100 for extra's(bolts, etc..). And then another $750 for labor. He said it would take roughly 14 hours to finish it. Which includes taking the dead engine out of the car.

I suggest looking into this engine first... sourcing one yourself is goign to be alot cheaper than a mechanic.
