just curious what size tires you guys have on 17's??
i was thinking of getting 205/45 but is that too thin?? thanx alex |

Use whatever size tire the tire store recommends. They have a system that calculates the rolling diameter of tire setups to keep them the same. And no, 45's are not too thin, I have 35's on my 18's. It'll ride a little rougher, but not too bad.

That's why they tell you what tires to use, the overall diameter remains the same so the setup doesn't actually "get bigger" which would make it rub or affect your speedometer reading.

i have 215/40s on my wheels right now. but i want to get soem 225/45s.

I would either go with 225/40 or 215/45
by the way the first number is the width of the tire. the second is merely a percentage of the width and represents the height of the sidewall |

for 17x7s id recomend 215-45s.
