What tranny is used with the 3sge? And would it be a better fit than the mr2 tranny or 5sfe for a 3sgte swap?

There have been threads about this. I believe its still an "S" series tranny. If it is, it would not be better than the MR2T tranny E-153.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Well I'm planning on using the 5s tranny right now, but I thought maybe the 3sge tranny would be rated for more HP since it is what like 180 stock.

It's the same tranny as the 5SFE with different final drive and gearing... and LSD options...
