I know everyone is sick of answering these questions, but i tired the search and i wanna know how much a swap from a 5s-fe to a 3s-gte or 3s-ge would be. also i would need to replace the auto with a 5 spd. how much would that be? including the amount of hours for a professional mechanic, estimate. thanks

It depends. If you came to my shop, I would charge you $800 for the swap and $300 for the auto/manual conversion. So the labor would be $1100 and then the cost of the parts is all about how cheap you can find them. Estimate would be about $2000 for the engine/tranny/misc parts and another couple hundred for the auto/manual conversion parts.
So you're looking at around $3500 fit and finish. At a regular shop, you're probably looking at an extra $1000 for the labor, that's just a guess... -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

sounds pretty cheap. Most places charge 6500 for a 3rd generation 3s-gte and 1500 for tranny swap from auto to manual
