> Aftermarket Companies, Getting New Products

OK, there were 668 members to this site when this was posted but very few companies make products for our cars. I have an idea. Let's all 668 of us send e-mails to people like DC Sports and HKS and Greddy, you know people like that. Telling them that we need parts for our cars and we are inquiring if they make them or not. That way after 600+ e-mails from people who own 6th gen celicas I think that they would start making products for us. IT would be nice to buy a new intake manifold or more than one brand of exhaust. Even a CAI (cold air intake). If I was the person who was responsible for answerings these e-mails then I think that I would tell somebody in product developement about it. So maybe we can get some recognition once and for all. Post your thoughts.

With all the members emailing, it would definitely get their attention. Maybe, if we could directly link to these companies' emails from this site, it would be easier for more people to do it?

We can start by finding the companys email address. Everyone pick a company and get there email address and post it here on the forms so we all know who to email.

This is a really good idea but there is one prob with it....

There's 660+ members here.... There are THOUSANDS of Honda/Mitsu/Acura etc owners... some of the smaller parts companies with be willing to make parts for us if we bombard them with intrest. But for some of the bigger more vehicle specific stuff there is a lot of cost for the manufacter... and there not probably gonna be willing to spend hella cash for just 600-700 max buyers.... I know that I am being kinda negative bout this but I have tried talking to companies b4 and most of them want 2-3000+ projected sales of nething they make.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about Unorthadox or AEM making anything more than they do already for the 6th.

It is diffently worth a shot but with the 7th gen out there and the fact that toyota just released the photos of the midgen facelift there are gonna be even more people buy up the 7th gens..

I would be willing to try to get more aftermarket support... but like k2 said there are only about 20 people that actually post on these boards... really think we can make a difference? getting more people to be active on these boards would help alot!

i just sent my e-mail to greddy about 15 min. ago...I also gave them a link to the site..maybe that'll help
not to be negative either but i don't feel that we'll make a real impact with about 10 to 20 people e-mailing them.
For some reason the majority of the members just aren't very active.

It would be much more effective for us to write down what mods we are actually looking for. A top 10 list if you will. Then we can write down what companies could possibly make these products. Once we have this done, we can have Coomer email the companies and see if they are interested.

Let me get it started:

1) 94-95 Clearcorners - procarparts, ???
2) blitz style bodykit - visracing, ???
3) big brake kit - AEM, brembo, ???
4) carbon fiber splitters - ???
5) coupe rear spoiler - visracing, ???

This will only work if we all get together and decide on something. 5 or 10 people emailing a company is not going to do anything. The key is to have someone with authority, ie: Coomer, email them and say I have a bunch of people interested in this product.
