i just took the GRE for a doctorate program. dont know how it is in comparison but the GRE killed me. I put so much time into studying. best advise buy the kaplan book and the GMAT for dummies book. those were the two that I used and they were very helpful. Good Luck

i took the GRE..that was it...hard as hell. i used the kaplan stuff. didnt help at all..exam is a joke..u dont have enough time, questions are so obscure..you never need to ever use most of the stuff in real life situations anyways..all a scam to take your money...
just go in, do what u can, and hope school accepts the score...

I took the GREs too. I only studyied for the math section and the writing section since im engineering and thats all they care about. I thought the kaplan books helped a lot. There was good tips on how to format your writing section essays, and some great examples to help you on the math section. I did really well on the GREs, and i think the kaplan book i got was a reason why. I would recommend it for the GMAT and LSATs as well. My friends who have taken these tests say the books helped them as well.

My professors tell me to use the kaplan book. He said all the other books are a waiste, why not use the study guide from the people who make the test.
