ok !
so i;ve just had both front shocks changed (toyota origionals) tha handlings great and so smooth...... but !!!!!! the space from the top of the wheel to 'fender' is three finger widths on the left side and only TWO on the right !!!!!! now i can see where some repair work has been done, just behind the from lights (right side) and looking at the car she looks a bit lower on the right hand side what's up ????? do you think the spring is finished ??? i don't know, i'll try to get some photo's but i really don't know what help they could be........ anyone ??? -------------------- Life is for living, and you don't get a second chance Take care now !! |

Check that the spring hasnt turned when it was been fitted, it might not be sitting in the correct place.
Give the car a week to settle, after some work like that it takes a bit of time for the car to settle back down to its natural postion. |

that's what i thought too......
the springs not twisted and due to cash flow i had front left fitted a week before the right...... left side i think is ok but right is lower..... are you riding on standard shocks and springs mate ? what hight have you got from center of hub to top of your wheel arch ? i've got 14 5/8" from center of hub to top of arch on both rear wheels and the front left ! but only 14 1/8" on front right !!!!! I get 14" bang on, on both wheels from center hub to wheel arch, thats on standard springs and shocks. So there is a bit of settling yet to be done, patients my friend, it will come good in the end.

mate i can speak russian well enough, but writing it is a bugger.....
i had some help to get it right..... but i said 'you information is usful and i'm greatful your friend Peter' Bable fish translator at www.AltaVista.com is a usful toy mate, at least you get the idea what is written....... but hey you know the import stuff get the beer order right and the rest becomes chicken feed -------------------- Life is for living, and you don't get a second chance Take care now !! |

But always happy to help a fellow GT4 owner |
