a) get a quote from the most expensive auto-repair shop in town
b) send quote to insurance company
c) get money
d) get quote from cheaper place that you know does good work
e) buy bodykit with extra cash
f) get install, repaint and repairs all for originally quoted price

theres plenty of people who have done it, its all about being crafty wink.gif

Do not do this! I'm sorry ghosty but you always seem to have the right answer, but this time, no. Check with your state laws, because if the damage is a certain percent of the total value of the car, the company will consider it a total loss.

PS-
Blackcel- I feel so sorry for you, because you just got slapped in the face with irony today; referring to your previous post from earlier today.

Edit-
especially with 5g's worth of damage, so I am sorry to say, don't get to hopeful.

ya ghost dog...i thought that was the way to go too. But some insurance company's send the check to the place you get the estimate at. Because the sheet that they write the estimate on has their address.

Might work, but like hiflytsi said. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Its alright man. I knew I was probably in a grey area when I posted. Afterall local laws are different and I don't have any first-hand experience with the matter.

Anyway, good luck BlackCelicaGT94, hope everything works out for the best.

9k for a 94 gt, that had better have been FULLY loaded and with LOW LOW LOW LOOOOOOWWWW mileage, because mine was in prestine condition as well and mine was 7,200 for 105k miles.

Edit-
You may have paid 9k for it but it all depends on the KBB and the insurance comapny will try their best to screw you as well.
