Has anyone else put o bilsteins? Im trying to replace fronts for now but I got the shock and not the whole shock absorber, how can i replace shock in stock shock? so far i tried taking the cap off the stock, then theres 4 bent over pieces keeping stock one in place, should i unbend them or screw it?

"to put in the strut inserts, but they were crimped in and WOULD NOT come out." is there a way to get around this????

un krimp them i guess, I alwasy just get the whole thing, rather then just the insert because its not something I wana mess with.

edit: cut the krimped part off with a grinder and crimp a new section after its in

i just ran into the same problem. it turns out that 98-99 uses "sports" suspension. meaning that you cant just replace the inserts cause they are sealed. you are going to need a whole new strut.
