check your cold start injector time switch. my car would have a hard time starting cold too. turned out that the harness plug had cracked and wasnt making good contact. fixed the plug with crazy glue and now it starts right up.

what do you mean by COLD? below 0 degree fahrenheit? In winter in the morning its almost always below 0 where I live and i neved had problems but make sure:
- at least 1/4 fuel
- close all eletric devices before you start

mac, its located right next to your oil pressure sender and water temp senor. rembmer, this is the time switch im talking about, not the injector. its really easy to get to on the 3s and should be the same on the 5sfe.

You should make sure you use 5W30 in the winter instead of 10W30. Straight out of the owner's manual.
