I want to buy a new shift knob for my manual and was wondering if anyone can tell me what the threading size on it is cause i cant find that info anywhere. Its a GT if that makes any diff...... thanx

well if its a universal knob then its going to fit cause its got some screws that hold it in place, it may also come with some rubber things that will fit onto the colum and help to fill the gap. I know this cause its the way that my momo knob came.

my universal knob came with plastic pieces that i had to screw onto the shifter and then screw some screws into the plastic at the bottom of the knob.

i have a question about universal AT shift knobs...if they dont come with an overdrive button, will that mess things up? like say i always keep O/D on, couldn't i just have it on when i put the shift knob on and have it always be on or no? or would it be a bad idea? feedback is appreciated, especially form someone who has done it....mark
