Hey I was just wondering what year my car really would be considered. I was told it's a 94 and the insurance says so as well. However, the tag on the side of the door says 6/1994. You know, as if it where made in mid-1994. A couple of friends of mine tell me the car is a 1995. What is it?

Look on the registration in your window.

do a carfax report on the vin. You can get them for free sometimes. It could still be a 94 even if it wasn't built until June.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Look at the registration and your insurance. They are right. And considering probably nothing was changed in 1995 they most likely didnt turn them into '95's until way late in the year of '94.

MY car was built in 08/94 and is designated a 1995 model vehicle in all of my state documentation, and Carfax. FWIW.

I dont know why I didnt think of this before. You can just give your vin to any toyota dealer and they can tell you the year and all options that came stock on the car.

Fair enough, NY you have one sticker in your window and then another copy. When the cop pulls you over asks for registration, and its on the window. I dont get it.
