Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here has a dvd/screen combo in their car and figured out how to wire it so that it can play video while the car is moving.

thanks guys

just wire it in norm. When you get a company to install it, they have to wire it so it only works when the brake is on, but thats there doin.

But there is a seperate wire for parking brake and if it is not connected/defeated, then video will not show up on the screen.

hehe, i encountered this problem last week. open up the connection to the clock. one of the wires (i believe the green/black) is the one you want to splice into. touch the wire you need to connect into the open wire terminal (that plugs into the clock) just to make sure.

yay! hehe

I'm pretty sure all you have to do is ground it and it'll work. At least thats what my friend had said with his.

that depends on the type of player. several, like the kind i have, only turns the screen on when the parking brake is applied. its "supposed" to be a safety feature so that the driver doesnt get distracted. but, like we all do, there are mods to get around this. i tried grounding that wire, but it didnt work. then i tried connecting it to a wire that went to the emergency flashers, but that didnt work either (it did, but the screen went on and off when i had the left turn signal on, lol). so the closest wire i could find was the one that went to the clock.

Forkee, are you talking about the switched +12 volt wire for the clock?
