To start off, I'm completely new to the car modification game. I've had my Celica for about a year now, and the car is an absolute dream to drive and to show off. Unfortunately, I'm a poor college student, and haven't been able to afford to play with it just yet, now that's starting to change. I've been lurking around these forums and the celica.net forums for awhile, but now I need some info so I think posting might be in line.
Currently, the car has a set of craptastic Wal-Mart rim look alikes, which look absolutely awful. It came with them when I bought the car, and I didn't even have the stock wheel covers to put back on. Suffice it to say, this has gotta change, so a set of real rims are first on my priority list. My question, then, is what info do I need to know before I buy the rims? What do I need to know about the things like bolt offsets or sizes or whatever else is necessary in order to fit the rims correctly? Also, where might you recommend (online or off) to buy rims? Price is always a concern, and the cheaper the better, certainly, but not Wal-Mart cheap, these things make the baby Jesus cry. Thanks all |

when u decide on a package, they will let u pick a tire.
I have Ventus or something like that. Some packages let u pick the tires u want, but it will be more expensive. -------------------- Jared Harwell

I got my rims in 17" from Wheelmax as well for $820 shipped with tires, locking lugs, and a one year warranty. Mine came with Nankang tires in 215/40/17, which work fine for me.
Also, the Celica's lug pattern is 5x100. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
