The ONLY rattle coming from my car is outside, and outside, i found that in the back tail gate (hatchback), that part where the licence plate is, is the rattle. Now, it's not exactly that plastic peace, it's the FREAKING LICENCE PLATE LIGHTS. I just barely put any pressure on the light fixture (above licence plate) and all the rattling stops. HOW IN THE WORLD DO I GET IN THERE?????????

To get the rear panle off, first you need to get into your hatch. Then take off the inside rear panle with the few screwes holding it in. Then take off the three nuts holding each of the tail lights on. Then there should be three screwes or pops, that will come out very easy. Then the panle comes out and put some dynomat over or unsder what ever is making noise and rattleing.

messing with the gains isnt a good idea unless you know what to set it too.... if you have your gains all the way up then you arent very smart... the gains are not for bass...... it isnt a volume knob..... remember.... distortion blows speakers/subs..... anyway..... my whole car rattles... and the F#cking wing rattles like no other... i have loosened the screws but the wing still wont come off.. any ideas? also i want to re-glue it.. any suggestions on that?

Yea my whole trunk, trunk lid, and under my back seats is dynamated.....still rattles. Rattling isn't a bad thing!!!! My licences plate lights rattle too, there each held on by two screws, take them out and mess with them to sit in tight with dynamat or something, you shouldn'd need to take that whole lic plate holder piece off. And you def know when your *hits loud when your rear seal in your hatch breaks.......As for the wing, you gotta take all the screws out and it should come right off. Some of them may be blocked by rubber pieces, just take them out. Some times the actual inside of a wing rattles, pending on how its made, my friend had that problem and couldn't fix it.

i have rattles, bangs, and whistles (exaggeration) coming from all around my trunk. i dont even know where to begin. my taillights are fine and my license plate lights are fine. my entire trunk panel moves up and down when the bass hits. i think the hatch panel rattles on mine, but that is only 1 out of many. if you guys find anything else that rattles, post it.

MY WAY OF FIXING SOME ANNOYING RATTLES:
Ok first you need to go to home depot or somewhere and get door foam insulation. It basically a long strip of foam with a sticky side. To do it right take out ALL or most of your interior plastic pieces. Now when you put them back in put a piece of the foam whereever they touch or clip together. You can also put the foam where it touches the car as well (i.e.: the big plastic piece that clips to the hatch sometimes vibrates against the hatch so you could put foam under that). You can also put the foam on the back of you lic plate around the edge and in the center a little. And bend or arch your lic plate when you put it back on, this puts pressure against the foam and stops the rattling. This won't fix everything but its a quick fix for MOST of the rattling we have. Just a little info that helped me so i figured i'd share. |

my back hatch whistles... the damn bumper makes a whistle noise...among the other rattles....if you want some good sound deadener... look at Brown Bread... you can get a 100sq ft of it for $100... which is a super good deal.
