a corolla S from 01-02 is same a 98-99 jdm celica and jdm mr2 but with cruise ..

also red stitching shift knob from mr2 is same part number for 98-99 jdm celica red stitching shift knob .. FYI ..

SORRY TO POST THIS IN YOUR WTB THREAD

Hey thats ok. My question is, the 7th gen sterring wheels fit, but they have 4 wires instead of the 2 on the 6th gen for the airbags. My main concern is the airbag wiring. I don't know if the mr2 is compatible.

I believe all of the OBD2 bags are different... and the 98+ airbags are most likely the same as the 7th gen's airbags. They are the same wheel with different covers...

guys there is 2-3 diff connectors for 98+ 3 spoke bags

there is one that plugs right into 94-97 steering wheel connector and only requires modding cruise wires as they are in diff spots on connector

other one is after 2000 i believe it is smaller

i will double check my bags . both of mine are from 98-99 rav4's ...

the guy who won the SCC mag shootout last fall in v6 mr2 had a 98 wheel and he just plugged his in and no codes ... who knows it wil blow when needed but only way to find out is not an option ..

BTW i will be selling my red stitching 3 spoke wheel soon w/o bag soon ..

d
