I just put a new starter on my current 94 celica st. Sometimes when I try to start it, it will just sounds like a clicking sound. Other times it completely shuts off all power to the car, no lights nothing. When I use jumper cables it starts right up. Does anyone have a clue what is wrong. Thanks

I havent got a clue it came with the car when I bought it and the car hasnt really been driven. But I had the battery tested and it was fine at advance. I may try switching the battery out anyway, hopefully that will fix it. If that doesnt work Im having a new clutch put in next week so I can have them look at it too. I will grab a multi meter from work and test it with that. Thanks

Yeah its a lil cold here but its off and on between cold and warm. I guess its high possibility that its the battery so that's what I'll try thanks.

ive seen that happen before and it could be because of the starter line or the battery lines...too much corossion or its a little loose...
