is the KYB GR2 good?...or is it just like our original...that is what i heard...is $180 or so worth it??

The are STOCK replacements. Did you think your stock shocks were good (before they needed to be replaced)? If so, then yes, KYB GR2's are good.

I have the kyb's and sportline springs.. and have had them for a year now, id say there good an i like them. nice ride while still being sporty and stiff for the turns.
Though i have bottomed out the shocks a few times going over bumps a lil hard. |

I installed both on my car and the work very well. be warned tho on some of the new celica the front suspension is diffrent and you cant simply replace the front insides with cartrages. Some models had a sprots supension package which gave the front a seal sturt system. This means you have to find a non seal strut assembly and use that to hold the replacement cartiges. I think there was a thread about this with pix showing what a seal front strut looks like. If its not seal it will jsut have a nut like cap on the top as opposed to 4 crimped down edges. (i think) |
