Greetings from Auckland, New Zealand
I'm the proud (and lucky) owner of a 1994 ST205 Celica GT-FOUR Group A WRC. One of only 5 officially imported into NZ by Toyota and one of only 2500 cars produced worldwide.
These differ from 'normal' GT-FOURs as they have the antilag hardware along with a water sprayer for the chargecooler pre-rad and cold start water injection. I also understand that they are some 50kg lighter and have a stiffer chassis.
And it's such a hoot to drive - an awesome car. Mods are limited to a Profec B Spec II EBC, turbo back exhaust (inc custom oitlet elbow/downpipe) and some TRD pads at this stage. More to come .... wink.gif

Welcome - did you hook up your antilag and water sprayer? I'd probably avoid the antilag since its super harsh on the turbos. But the sprayer you should hook up, as far as I know they didnt come hooked up.

Cheers for the welcome guys smile.gif

Antilag bits were fitted to the car at the factory to satisfy the FIA Holologation rules at the time. However, it was hooked up so it could be activated for the exact reasons Supersprynt says. I'd so love to have the antilag working but replacing the turbo/manifold every few weeks would quickly become an expensive process! Though the CT20 turbo on these Group A cars does have steel internals as opposed to ceramic on other 3S-GTE motors.

You can see the antilag bits quite clearly here. At the front r/h corner of the chargecooler and (less clear) the bolt head of the manifold 'injector pipes' on the l/h corner of the turbo heat shield (there is one of these per header tract. Group A cars are identified by these parts as well as having a chassis number of 5000 or below.

I haven't connected up the water sprayer. Research indicates that teh nozzles in place are pretty poor and would need replacing. I do have plans to fit an Aquamist water/methanol injection system at some stage though. Currently running around 16.5psi boost.

You may also notice a small spoiler at the rear of the bonnet - that is there to prevent the lightweight aluminium bonnet from flexing too much at speeds in excess of 240km/h.

Also just found another pic...

Yeah its nice. At first glance the antilag piece almost looks like a bypass valve. Ive always wanted that manifold heat shield but it doesnt bolt up to the 2nd gen 3s's.

Tell ya what, rather than go through all that hassle, why not swing by one afternoon and I'll take you out for a spin? Then we can go down to the pub and you can buy a few beers. That sounds a much more viable idea wink.gif
