Don't get cross drilled and slotted, you'll lose braking power. Choose cross drilled, or slotted- not that you'll see gains with either. And all the ones on ebay are just ebay drilled, not professionally made.

for this reason i took braking video and stats on my spring break trip ^^^

i have EBC greenstuff pads
and #1 crossed and slotted rotors
i GAURANTE i stop faster then a solid rotor stock brakes celica

when i get a chance i'll talk to drocay he has stock brakes and we'll do a comparison brake test how bout that so everyone can be quiet

and yes NO EBAY ROTORS they are just bad and deadly if you want crossed/slotted
go NOPI,irotors, ect...

How can you gaurantee that? Have you ever driven a Celica with EBC Green Stuff pads and stock rotors in good shape?

I'm sure that a Celica with the same calipers, same-size rotors, and same pads, but with solid rotors, will stop faster...research, testing, and experience proves this, so please don't make claims claiming otherwise with no evidence to back it up.

EBC Green Stuff pads are complete and utter CR@P! I wouldn't use them on my pushbike, let alone a performance car. I've seen at least 2 instances where the pad material has come away from the backing plate when they've been exposed to some harsh braking. Red Stuff is far better, but I personally would never use EBC stuff.
I'd definately recommend pads from the likes of TRD, Mintex, Pagid, etc.

Cooling is often the biggest issue as far as braking is concerned. One easy free mod is to remove the stone guard from the hub. This will allow much better airflow over the rotor/caliper.
Another thing often overlooked is the brake fluid. DOT4 or 5 isn't designed to cope with hard repetative braking and will easily rexcah boiling point - causing air bubbles to form in the system resulting in brake fade due to a spongy pedal. Use a high quality race type fluid (I use Elf HTX) to eliminate that problem. And finally, fit braided brake hoses. OE hoses tend to expand under pressure reducing the pedal feel.

If you intend to make a 'genuine' comparison, then you'll need to make sure that all is equal between the cars
They use the same tyres, both have new rotors and pads (to ensure thicknesses are equal - make sure they are fully bedded in though). Car weight is important so = amounts of fuel, driver weight, no junk in car, etc, etc. Also impportant to ensure that the road surface is the same and remember to do several tests.
It's not just a case of running the cars along side each other and guessing when you want to apply the pedal. Even a 5 yr old can do that and it proves nothing. Listen to those with experience and research what has been written. And I don't meant believe what the rotor or pad companies write either wink.gif

oh yea i know about testing hey
with the funding we'll try to make it as equal as possible wink.gif
and i'll post the video of my stops whenever i get a chance
but there were variables in it like
(cargo,18s) ect...

but good thing peeps here have same stuff pretty much between me and drocay minus he is coupe but that makes a minimal difference

and wow i love my greenstuff pads and you have to think 2 instances outta how many thousands apon thousands?

and i'm not goin off manufacture bases lit. i'm talking real experience with the pads over what i see in other people/cars/ect

but hey everyone has diff experiences with the same product

but all in all i think brakes are a personal matter and not everyone will always agree on brakes its just that much of a fact.,......IMO go with wat suits you best

Plyr, we've been over this. It's been proven, not just by me, but by every brake company on the face of the planet. CROSS DRILLED AND SLOTTED ROTORS STOP SLOWER THAN STOCK.
