I think that the cupholder in our the 6 gen celica is in the worst spot. When I have a drink there I have a really hard time shifting. Does anyone have the same problem or agree with what im saying?

i know what you mean. a good idea is to get one that attaches via some adhesive, and put it on the passenger side of the console right in front of the shifter. smile.gif.

Agree with Benevolence.

One can is fine, but 2 is unbearable. I literally have to bend my wrist 90 degree down to reach the shifter with my arm rested on 2 soda cans.

Haha logical that your supersize drinks doesn't fit in the cupholder.
The size of youre drinks is almost the size of a bucket in the rest of the world smile.gif

something like a can of soda is fine but it does get very hard ot shif or place your arm, If i have something bigger I'll wedge in between the seat and the door it workes pretty darn good, i just keep a hand on if i have a free one.

I don't complain, because it's a lot better than not having a cupholder at all. smile.gif

Plus if you have a drink on the cup holder, you can't open the freaking arm rest thing.

And if you have 2 drinks on the cup holder, you can't open the ash tray to look for coins or ash your cigarette...

i hate driving with drinks in my car.. it's like, the worst thing ever. You can't shift, you spill your drink, your arm hurts when you're finished. They definately weren't thinking when they put the cup holders there that's for sure.

I can relate to the cup holder getting in the way... so I cut a slit in the back of the armrest and put the holder there... so now i just reach back between the back seats to get drinks... a little awkward, but works and now i can shift biggrin.gif

Haha, no offense to the guy that started this, but when I first glanced over the topic, I thought it was somone else that had just discovered the cupholder and was impressed with their find...but nevermind
