I just changed me radiatior on my gt and it is much thicker now because it is the radiator with the auto tranny cooler on it. At first i was running prestone 50/50 mix in it and now i am running the Advance auto 50/50 crap and my car is getting much hotter. i noticed this when i ran my car on a dyno and put 150 to the ground when the oil was around 200 degrees and when it got up around 250 it it only put 120 to the ground. I read in the latest import tuner that optimum oil temp is between 200 and 220. I was wondering what all i could do to get the temp down. Does anyone have any suggestions?

150 whp on a 5sfe? What mods do you have?

As for your question, you can install an aftermarket oil cooler. Try newcelica.org. Many gts 7th gens get them. However, you shouldn't need one for the 5sfe.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

all i have is intake and full exhaust. It suprised the crap out of me. I know that the gt's have a factory oil cooler but my oil is still going over 220 degrees.

Did the dyno shop have fans to direct air into the radiator? could be you are just stressing the cooling system if there is not enough airflow across the radiator.

Otherwise, you should run a full synthetic oil like Amsoil, its been known to reduce oil temps switching to full synthetic.

150 is possible because I have a dyno sheet to prove it. It was when my oil was still cold and my entake wasnt sucking hot air from off the engine. Me and three other guys saw it.

The fan was blowing on the radiator but once it got hot all it did was loose power. I am trying to find a decent oil cooler and trying to get cooler air to my intake. I am also going to switch to synthetic oil.

Please post a pic of your car on the dyno if you have one and lets see the dyno sheet.

Sorry to seem like I dont believe you but Ive been around these boards for a VERY LONG time and no one yet has put down 150 to the wheels with even a highly modded 5sfe. As amatter of fact (if Manny would jump in here, HINT HINT rolleyes.gif ) with the #'s, your going to be running out of fuel before the 150 mark.
