I love those mazdaspeeds! When it came out, that was suppose to be the best handeling car with 4 doors sold in the US.

170 hp 2.0ltr turbo with a miniature intercooler. Hella nice Tokico suspension set up.(basically a aftermarket suspension kit) from factory. 0-60in the 7's, 1/4 in the 15's.
I seem to remember it being tested by motor trend against the SRT-4. "big power Vs. great handling on the track" End result "Rompin stompin SRT torque makes this neon hard to pass up" The SRT stomped it on the trac. The Mazdaspeed does have hella nice suspension though... but for two grand, the celica could Easily have better. I'd personally have opted for a Hyundai GT-V6 6 spd, or a WRX, or even a GT-S celica over the mazda though,.. |

as i said before it beat the mclaren in the solomn. stock... ya think about that... now my friend and i threw jic full coilover suspension on it and it frickin kicks azz. if you guys ever get a chance to test drive one uhmm definately go for it. uhmm let me see what else i know they run 5.9 psi of boost stock and i've seen em boosting 15 before on stock internals. the car was completly designed by racing beat. it has a stage 1 act clutch in it and basically they took the 2.0 motor and slapped a turbo on it.. literally. their known for blowing though cuz the internals suck but with 500 bucks you can purchase a new set of forged rods and no worries. the slalom speed on these cars is crazy. they have, as he and I said, the best stock suspension available on a sub $50k car. (being very general here) theya are also hella light, so they run like a go-cart through the cones.
