i have a 1995 celica GT A/T. i have power lowindows, locks, and everything, but i don't have the toyota remote to control it. so, i'm looking into getting a new alarm system. i saw the Code Alarm (CA-145) at circuit city for only $70 and the brain is only $50. i think the installation would be $100, is all of that a good deal- only $220? has anyone heard anything about this system or have any comments on it? the links for the CA-145 and the brain are below:

I never heard of it, but it don't look 2 bad. My advice is that after you buy it, and since it has a 2 stage shock sensor buy some dei(viper, hornet, clifford) accessories like a glass breakage mike, radar(proximity) sensor and another shock sensor. These are so cheap on ebay, that those no reason you cant have 2 or 3 of them. I have 3 in my car. One on the right side, one on the left and one in the trunk.

u need a diffrent unit to get remote start. and you have to turn it wayyy down for it not to go off, so ur actual security is useless. just get a DEI alarm it will treat u better. CC is droping code alarm after carrying them for only 10 months and are going back to DEI

I will have to agree with Pali Playa on this one. As an installer for Circuit City I would advise waiting for DEI systems to come back. I've had the same Viper system from DEI for 2 years and in 2 different cars. Not once have I had a problem with it and I installed it myself at work. My advice, listen to pali playa and wait for DEI systems.
