ya, anything that makes ur engine over work itself will make it die faster. NOS isnt really for the average street racer. I say only get it for drags or races where real money is involved or if your car is a show car, otherwise driving around with it in your (place car name area here) makes it a ticking time bomb when you get into an accident -------------------- To live, is to suffer

Nitrous can cause damage, do some research on what the product line you want to go with. Nitrous isn't that bad only when you try to run those big shots. I don't believe the Celica can handle more than a 50 or 75 shot tops with the 5S and that is with the fuel tuned for it. I would recommend a VCN-2000 system from Venom. They are expensive but it would be cheaper than replacing the motor with a new one. Also I think the 5S is an aluminum block which helps with cooling but aluminum has a much lower melting (1236 F, 669 C) point than iron (2795 F, 1535 C) so watch for that. If you go with the 2000 you will be able to gradually move into the whole shot kind of like boosting, people think nitrous is bad since most only go for the $500 dry shot single port systems that are pretty inaccurate. If you go with the low cost method look for a 25 shot system that way it doesn't hit the engine hard and you don't have to worry as much about blowing your motor due to detonation.

hey whats up nos aint that bad i had a 50 shot wet and now a 75 shot wit 140,000 on the car i had to reenforce my header because i cracked it once from getting bottle happy but my engine works just fine. i have a 10lb bottle. i like it. a 50 shot tho is nothing i like the75 better. 50 shot on a stock car will be fine. but read up on it 92 oct or higher spray at over 3 grand and full throttle. also ive went through bottles of nos in my car so its all up to u. just be smart and take care of ur car. happy spraying later
