Well I was on a basic road going home today traveling at about 45 behind a truck (the speed limit) and a 98 green v6 mustang pulls out after the truck turned and he did not see me. I hit him just as he was pulling into my lane at about 45 and instantly his whole front of his car was MESSED up with his radiator in my face and smoke going everywhere pretty much... In the pics you can see the green fluid and actually his tire on the side... the officer said it was about 4k in damage, but im going to go check around for estimates at body shops... For some reason, the car still drives well and does not shake or anything, but im no pro... Also I'm pretty shook up, but im alright, air-bags did not go off and my friend who was in the car is just fine as well... The mustang owner who was a kid like myself (18) got a ticket for failure to give the right away and his insurance will pay for it all... so i guess im not in too bad of shape... anyway, post comments/adivce whatever, id appreciate it.

that looks just like the accident i had when an suv hit my car at slow speeds. i used that as a good reason to upgrede to the gt4 hood and bumper since paint and stuff was going to be paid by insurance anyway.... something to consider! smile.gif

Forget all these ideas to make your car prettier. Cut around the gash and you'll have a perfect place for the intercooler for your new turbo!

That sucks. At least no one was hurt, and your airbags didn't deploy. Maybe you could go for some projectors now.

im thinking projectors would be cool, but I'll def try to get a cf hood or something a little different... This is all depending on what the claims officer or whatever we will call him wants to do with my car

You're lucky, you'll get what it costs to repair/replace.

If its aftermarket, you take it in the butt from insurance...

Don't expect to get a lot back either..

If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

The only thing im worried about replacing would be the driver's side wheel... its probably slightly bent, not to mention scrapes from where the car was basically into me, so we will see how it all gets handled... hopefully it will go smoothly
